To encourage participation, I have promised the women who attend the most workshops a working sewing machine to take home at the end of the project. One woman asked (mostly in Bangla, though somehow I understood!) what would happen if everyone came each week? I promised them all a sewing machine. I have reached out to my community to see who might have a working sewing machine they aren't using. These are the first four! I may need as many as 15 working sewing machines to meet demand.
