Beginner at stitching, but not at English

This young woman arrived in the United States about ten years ago. She has graduated from a local high school. She brought her mother along who hasn't had many opportunities to get out into the community and develop her English. But her mom was a rock star at sewing! Her daughter (hands pictured below,) was a great interpreter but inexperienced with embroidery. Everyone benefited from our name tag making!
